During a meeting that included the head of the Gold and Jewelry Merchants Syndicate and the head of the Gold and Jewelry Sector Skills Council, Ribhi Allan, in addition to Salim Deeb and Ibrahim Abu Shehab, who are major investors in the sector, and Engineer Ali Al-Shalabi, the administrative official in the union, Al-Faouri said that the vocational and technical education and training sector receives attention, follow-up and support from the office of His Highness Crown Prince Al-Amin Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, may God protect him Pointing out that the manufacture and crafting of gold and jewelry is one of the leading and promising professions, and we seek with its Private Sector Skills Council to increase the number of employees in it from the sons and daughters of the local community, given the value and volume of the large investment in this sector. Pointing out that developing the skills of its workers would open more horizons and employment opportunities for the country’s young men and women, and develop their capabilities in a field that attracts and is in demand not only from the local market but also from the Arab and international markets. Al-faouri confirmed the Authority’s intention to discuss more training projects that end with employment with representatives of the sector and to provide all necessary support to attract and train Jordanian competencies in a way that contributes to reducing poverty and unemployment rates, and contributes to improving the quality of the Jordanian product. The meeting was attended by the Authority, Director of the Directorate of Sectoral Skills Councils Affairs, Dr. Ruba Al-Alawneh, Head of the Systems and Software Department, and the Authority’s electronic laboratory official, Abdullah Abu Yamin.
